I am Sabrina Hamel, born March 22, 1981 in Quebec but having lived most of my life in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Still criss-crossing the surroundings of the Richelieu, it is in 2022 that my boyfriend and I are building our little  paradise in the heart of the mountain in order to settle our extended family there.

Since I was very young, very manual and "hands-on", I'm always in learning mode and looking for new ideas. It is by painting that I find my balance.
With several mentions for projects carried out in high school, I wanted to become a visual arts teacher. My path will have been more than different!

For work, a secretarial training completed in 2002 to ensure a stable income at the start of my adult life, followed by a diploma in interior design about ten years later.
For fun, in 2009, a series of workshops specializing in artistic drawing, then in 2011, a second series of workshops, these focusing on acrylic & mixed media.
In 2015, but why not floral art! Another training later, a new creative adventure.
Over the years, a few works have been produced, but it was in 2018, out of a need to escape and take time for myself, that I brought out my brushes, pencils and trowels. My style is more defined, I have fun with textures and shadows while keeping in mind a background of realism and very often an air of naivety. I mainly use acrylic and textured gel, mediums that give me the impression of sculpting my subject, bringing it to life on my canvas. Now adding new skills like oil technique and mixed media by learning from the Milan art Institute by subscribing in the Mastery Program in 2023. I can't wait to show you my true voice!

My eyes are thirsty for beauty and my head is always full of projects.
Art is my therapy, my way of relaxing, of creating a void.

To free myself from the storm of ideas that goes thru my mind.
